2021 William A. Zdancewicz Memorial Scholarship Application
Each year, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Theatrical Alliance (NEPTA) awards an annual scholarship to at least one local graduating senior who will be attending college for the performing arts, technical theatre, or performing arts education. All applicants must provide a completed application, including household financial information, a personal essay, two letters of recommendation, and an academic transcript.
Applicants should prepare a performance or portfolio review showcasing their experience and intended area of study.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, 2021 scholarship auditions will be held virtually, via video submission.

The Northeastern Theatrical Alliance (NEPTA) is an organization connecting and supporting the participating community theatres across Northeastern PA. The organization hosts an annual awards ceremony in the spring that highlights and honors the best of the best in community theatre the previous year. The categories mirror those of the Tony Awards, including Best Actor and Actress in a Comedy, Drama, and Musical, and many more.
This year, due to COVID-19, we were unable to gather together in our usual forum and therefore held an online, virtual ceremony for all to stream. We are thankful to our NEPTA family for hosting this event and for allowing and providing us an opportunity to celebrate the 2019 theatrical season.
