The PTPA is very pleased to present our very talented youth in Disney’s DESCENDANTS: THE MUSICAL - including a special sensory friendly Saturday matinee in cooperation with our friends at Collaborative Autism Movement (CAM)!
WHATBased on the popular Disney Channel Original Movies, Disney's DESCENDANTS: THE MUSICAL is jam-packed with comedy, adventure, Disney characters, and hit songs from the films!
Imprisoned on the Isle of the Lost – home of the most infamous villains who ever lived – the teenaged children of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella De Vil have never ventured off the island… until now. When the four troublemakers are sent to attend prep school alongside the children of beloved Disney heroes, they have a difficult choice to make: should they follow in their parents’ wicked footsteps or learn to be good?
We are also very excited to be partnering with Collaborative Autism Movement (CAM) to present a Sensory Friendly Performance of DESCENDANTS for our matinee on Saturday, November 7th! The sensory friendly performance will run straight through with no intermission, the auditorium lights will remain on throughout, and sound and light cues in the show have been minimized to avoid overstimulation. There will also be sensory friendly items and activities available in the lobby to be taken to the tables for use throughout the performance. These performances are open to anyone who wants to experience theatre in a more relaxed setting and can be a perfect opportunity for families with younger children or people new to live theatre to experience a show! Our sensory friendly performances also offer special pricing - free for all youth and young adults and a reduced price ticket for caregivers - all thanks to our great partners at CAM!
